A tasty cocktail for your entertaining repertoire
We think that a great pitcher cocktail is perfect for Summer entertaining. But sometimes a Pimm's just seems so... tired and basic.
Our Habitare family favourite is refreshing and fragrant and super easy to whip up for a crowd.
Meet our Green tea, lychee and elderflower cocktail. We love to make a big pitcher of this at home, or, we make individual serves in Mason jars for easy transportation to picnics. We will give you the instructions for both, don't fret pet.
You need to think ahead for this one, obviously as you need to brew the tea in advance and allow it to cool.
INGREDIENTS:
Pitcher (check out our classic pitcher)
1L of freshly boiled water
4 x teabags (we LOVE LOVE LOVE Madame Flavour green, jasmine and pear)
100ml lychee liqueur
100ml elderflower liqueur
Sweetener of your choice, to taste. You could use simple syrup, sugar, whatever you like. We used 8 x teaspoons of stevia
Lychees and fresh mint leaves to garnish
Individual portions: (check out our mason jars)
250ml freshly boiled water
1 x teabag
25ml lychee liqueur
25ml elderflower liqueur
2 x teaspoons of stevia
A lychee, and fresh mint to garnish
METHOD:
Boil your water, and allow the teabags to steep for a good 30 minutes. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Chill, at least 4 hours. Just before serving, add in the liqueurs and mint leaves and stir well to combine. Serve in large tumblers filled with ice. For extra pizzaz, garnish with a lychee skewered onto a toothpick and more fresh mint leaves.
We love this recipe because it is so light and refreshing on a warm day, if you wanted to up the ante, you could add a neutral spirit such as vodka.
